Things to do in Oxford this weekend, 22nd/23rd March

So we know you spend all week waiting for our little round-up and we don’t want to keep you waiting any longer than necessary, so without further ado:

The biggest hitter for this weekend has to be the marvellous Oxford Literary Festival – in fact if we wanted we could fill this whole blog post with the separate events, instead we’re just going to pick out a few that we think look interesting and suggest that you head on over to our website to see a wider selection here.

Hers is the most condensed and spectacular writing career of the new millennium. Nicolette Jones talks to Meg Rosoff about her novels, including her latest, Picture Me Gone, and the recently filmed How I Live Now

Roald Dahl, mischief and mayhem

Nicolette Jones of the Sunday Times is in the chair and will endeavour to keep order. We are delighted to announce too that special musical accompaniment will be provided by cast members of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda the Musical. This is guaranteed to be a gloriumptious event, we suggest you snap up a ticket now.

Oops – looks like it’s mostly a choice between the Circus and the Literary Festival, unless you want to sneak over to Abingdon for the Oxfordshire Science Festival

So why not look at our Museums category or our parks and playground section and see if there’s something you fancy?
